8cm CD-R and CD-RW disks can be used with most CD burners and players except slot loading equipment. Capacity is usually between 180Mb and 210Mb, about 20 minutes, depending on the manufacturer. Options include plain surfaces for inkjet and thermal printers and branded disks in 8cm jewel cases. Suitable wallets and cases are also available.

8cm disks can be used in most CD players and recorders however they are not suitable for use in slot loading equipment such as in car players.
